It’s harder to make excuses when you have to explain yourself.

Often we let ourselves slide too easily. “Oh, I didn’t do this because I didn’t feel well today, or got too busy with other stuff.” Saying that same thing to a partner you respect is a lot harder. Without even having to say anything, they are able to cut through the B.S. and make you feel the pressure to get stuff done!


Accountability Partners

This is the end of our goal setting program, which (hopefully) means you have a complete plan for your year. However, that may not be enough to keep you on task this year. That’s where an accountability partner helps!

As you and your accountability partner meet every week or two, your objective is simple:

  1. Check in on whether or not you hit your target this past week.
  2. Tell your partner what you will be doing this coming week.

While it may be helpful to talk with your partner and brainstorm ideas and troubleshoot strategies, all of that is over and above the basic accountability relationship. You are simply there to hold each others feet to the fire to actually do what you said you’d do.
